The Summits of the Americas are institutionalized gatherings of the heads of state and government of the Western Hemisphere where leaders discuss common policy issues, affirm shared values and commit to concerted actions at the national and regional level to address continuing and new challenges faced in the Americas. Recently, the Sixth Summit of the Americas was held in Cartagena, Colombia on April 14-15, 2012.

Topics

	Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG) The management body of the Summits Process is comprised of all OAS Member States which are represented by their National Coordinators.		Joint Summit Working Group (JSWG) This group coordinates the support of twelve Inter-American and International Institutions to the Summits Process.
	Follow-up and Implementation (SISCA) SISCA facilitates monitoring and reporting on the implementation of Summits mandates. See: Sixth Summit Program of Implementation		Social Actors The Summits Plans of Action call upon all citizens of the region to contribute to the Summits of the Americas Process.
	Summits Virtual Community (SVC) The online community provides opportunities for stakeholder participation in policy discussions.		Publications and Briefs Official Documents of the Summits Process, Policy Roundtables, Working Papers, Reports, Newsletters and Summits Briefs.
